LIEUT JAMES H. COPELAND

Lieut. James H. Copeland, 30 son of H.A. Copeland and the late Mrs. Copeland, was killed in action in Belgium January 13, according to information recieved by his wife, the former Miss Mildred Sox of Columbia, South Carolina. Besides his father and his wife, he leaves one son, James H. Copeland, Jr; one sister- Mrs Louis Violo of Baltimore Md. and one brother Pvt Tappan Copeland, infantry now in Belgium. He was a memberof Central Methodist Church in Monroe. He entered the service with the National Guard in September 1940 and was sent overseas last November.
