Worth J. Haywood

Services Scheduled Friday, December 17, In North Monroe Baptist Church.

MONROE, Dec. 14--Funeral services will be held Friday, December 17, at 3 o'clock in the afternoon in North Monroe Baptist church for Pvt. Worth J. Haywood. He lost his life in Germany April 13, 1945. He served in action in North Africa, Sicily, France, and Germany. He was stationed in England for a period of time after the Sicilian invasion.

The body will remain at the McEwen Funeral home in Monroe until Thursday at 5 p.m. when it will be carried to the home of his wife at 508 Stafford street in Monroe.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruth D. Haywood; a son, Larry Worth Haywood; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. B. Haywood of Charlotte; two brothers, John R. Haywood of Waxhaw and Holler Haywood of Charlotte
