Killed in Action June 18, 1944

He was the sone of the late Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Milton of Monroe and following the deaths of his parents, made his home with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Couch, until he entered military service. He was serving with the 38th Infantry, 2nd Division when killed, after being overseas for nine months.

Pvt. Henry Harrison Milton, Monreo, age 23, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry H. Milton, killed in action in France, June 18, 944. Married Miss Clara Boone, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Boone, Benton Heights, June 15, 1943. Member of the Central Methodist Church, second casualty from that church. Served with the infantry and had rangers training. Had been overseas for about 9 months. Prior to leaving states was stationed at Camp McCoy, Wisc. Stationed in Northern Ireland, England and France after arrival overseas.
