PREFACE
This book is a labor of love, for the Union County Gold Star Mothers Club, by Mrs. Zeb Cuthbertson. For six years she has given freely of her time and efforts. Mrs. Cuthbertson has been ably assisted by every member of our organization.
These records of our boys are authentic. Whenever possible the information was obtained from their parents, or some member of the family. When this couldn't be done other reliable sources were gotten.
We wish to express our deep appreciation to Mrs. Eugene Myers, who looked after all the typing and assisted in many other ways, especially in the formation of the book, to Miss Clara Stinson and Miss Virginia Neal for valuable information.
