Notes This building was erected by the Heath Hardware Company and completed on Christmas Eve in 1889. It was destroyed in a fire on December 22, 1927. At the time it was owned by Monroe Hardware which had merged with Heath in 1906. More information can be found in "Sketches of Monroe and Union County" (1902) by Stack & Beasley and other historical publications.
