Notes

Campbell, who received "his colonel's eagles" while at Camp Sutton in the summer of 1942, helped get the camp's hospital up and running. He also laid out the organization of the "camp's projected million-dollar new hospital" before reporting to duty at Camp MacCain (Mississippi) to help begin their camp's medical unit.
