This index to the obituaries listed in the Marshville Newspapers was compiled by the staff of the Union County Public Library.  The Marshville Newspapers include:  Marshville Home (MH), Marshville Regional News (MRN), Marshville Union News and Home (MUNH) and the current  The Home News (HN).  To obtain a copy of the obituary, please come to the Edwards Memorial Library, call the Edwards Memorial Reference Department (704-624-2828 x222) or email the Genealogy Department (emlgen@union.lib.nc.us ).  Email is preferable, particularly for more than one.  Requests are limited to no more than five (5) at one time.  Those who wish for more than five are asked to submit their first batch of five and wait for those to be received before requesting the next batch. There may be a charge for photocopies.  This index begins with March 2006 and also will include the following years:  1952 – 1955; March 1957 – December 1957; 1962-1981.  It is continually updated.  If you find errors, please contact us.
