Stanley H. Edwards


Stanley H. Edwards attended Unionville High School from 1941 until 1944 when he left to join the US Army.  He was in the army from 1945 until 1946 as a Mess Sergeant.  He was enroute to Japan when the first atomic bombs were dropped and the war with Japan ended.  Edwards received the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Occupation Medal Japan, and an Expert Rifleman Medal.

Edwards and wife Willene have four sons -- Stanley H. Edwards, Jr., Dr. Joel L. Edwards, Dr. Allen R. Edwards, and Kevin L. Edwards.

Edwards has done many things since World War II and says that he has had a very good life.
