Description The County Home as pictured on an envelope. This building, built in 1911, was located just off the New Town Road with a long driveway. It would be destroyed by fire January 12, 1929 (see Monroe Enquirer, 1/14/1929, p. 1). It would be rebuilt in the same location and ready for the occupants about December 1929. |
